Dan Hollander has 23 years of experience in the acquisition and development of residential, commercial and mixed-use properties in urban areas. He has developed over 1,500 units of luxury high-rise residential properties with an estimated market value of over $2 billion. He also has substantial experience in the development of affordable and government-assisted housing.

Prior to founding DHA, Mr. Hollander was Senior Managing Director of The Clarett Group, where he acquired and developed such distinctive properties as 200 West End Avenue, Sky House Condomininum, The Brooklyner, and Chelsea House. He also raised over $600 MM in debt and equity capital for Clarett projects. Hollander’s projects at Clarett were characterized by budget discipline, forward-thinking design and superior financial returns.

Mr. Hollander has also developed low-income properties in Upper Manhattan, where he acquired, financed, renovated and managed multi-family apartment projects utilizing government and private capital. He began his career with the Chicago Housing Authority, where he helped create a precursor to the federal HOPE VI program and initiated a 350-unit turnkey development project for scattered-site public housing. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Columbia University.
