Co-Head Thor Residential
Thor Equities

Alan Klein is an executive vice president at Thor Equities and co-head of the firms residential division, Thor Equities Residential, as of Feb. 20, 2015. Prior to joining Thor, Klein was director of acquisitions at Stonehenge Partners, a private equity residential real estate firm, from late 2001 to late 2013. In October 2013, Klein teamed up with fellow Stonehenge Partners alum, former director of business development Jonathan Fishman, and Thor Equities founder Joseph Sitt, to launch Thor Equities Residential. In January, Thor Equities Residential closed on the purchase of the Caiola familys entire 800,000-square-foot apartment building portfolio for nearly $800 million, marking the biggest deal to date for the residential arm, positioning the division as an apartment landlord with more than a billion dollars in holdings. In March of 2014, Thor Residential bought two rental buildings on Riverside Drive together with Green Oak Real Estate, and in May of last year the company paid $67 million for a rental building at 838 West End Avenue. Prior to joining Stonehenge, Klein was a real estate investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan for two years.
